The goal of preventive inspection of work equipment
Before starting to use new equipment, that is, before putting into use those equipment that has undergone a modification or breakdown, a preventive inspection and checking of work instruments is required. Also, after any relocation of the equipment, its functionality is checked.
In this way, it is determined whether the equipment is completely safe and harmless to the health of the workers themselves. All established technical regulations, standards and instructions of the manufacturer must be complied with for the sake of legal obligation, but above all, for the safety of all employees.

Deadlines for periodic inspections
Deadlines for periodic inspections and checks of work equipment (Article 8, Rulebook on the procedure for inspection and checks of work equipment and testing of working environment conditions (Službeni Glasnik of RS “No. 94 / 2006,114 / 2014 and 102/2015)) which reads:”
Periodic inspections and checks of work equipment shall be performed within the period determined by technical regulations and standards or determined by the manufacturer’s instructions, and no later than three years from the day of previous inspection and verification, except for periodic inspections and checks of temporary electrical installations with devices. equipment and accessories, which are performed within one year from the day of the previous inspection and check and periodic inspections and checks of work equipment determined by the employer by the act on risk assessment, which are performed within the period determined by that act.
Methods of realization:
Inspection and verification of equipment is performed on the basis
Crane and device with a capacity of 0.5 tons and more, as well as temporarily installed cantilever crane and winch with a capacity of 0.5 tons and more, mechanized, which are used for lifting, lowering and transporting cargo using steel or other rope, chain, hydraulics, etc .;
A mechanized-powered shelving crane (inside and outside the shelving corridor, connected to rails or otherwise having automatically regulated positions) which is used for loading and unloading pallets or materials from the shelving rack;
Mechanized lifting platform which, by means of a built-in platform or basket, serves for raising and lowering employees for the purpose of performing work operations;
Suspended scaffolding, mechanized, which on the vertical surfaces of buildings, on the facades of buildings, construction sites and in buildings intended for work and auxiliary rooms is used for raising and lowering employees and materials
Self-propelled vehicle, mechanized, used for internal transport – towing, pushing, lifting, lowering and carrying loads;
Press, scissors, knife and roller, mechanized drive which are fixed, for cutting, pressing, bending and extracting material, and in which the material for processing is inserted or removed manually;
Equipment for processing and processing wood, plastic and similar materials, mechanized, fixed, in which the processing material is inserted or removed manually;
Devices in which coatings are applied and dried, the components of which, in contact with air, form flammable and explosive mixtures, vapors and chemical hazards dangerous to the health of employees;
Equipment, ie plants for production, filling, measuring and control, with pipelines for supply, distribution and transport of explosive, toxic and suffocating fluids – gases or liquids, except natural gas (natural gas), in facilities used as working and auxiliary space ;
Explosion-proof work equipment, used in technological processes;
Temporary electrical installation with devices, equipment and accessories, installed during the construction of buildings or other works;
Work equipment (machines, devices, plants, installations and tools) for which the employer has determined by a risk assessment act that preventive and periodic inspections and checks are performed on it.
Inspections and inspections of work equipment are performed by a legal entity with a license to perform inspections and inspections of work equipment, which has the appropriate instruments and devices for inspection and inspection, listed with technical characteristics in the accepted methodology. An expert report is issued on the performed inspection and inspection of work equipment.
Along with the expert report, the legal entity that performed the inspections and checks of the work equipment shall enclose a copy of the license of that legal entity and the responsible person who signed the expert report.
